EXAMPLE LETTER TO DR. LENSINGTON:
Dear Dr. Lensington:
What a fantastic time I had in Costa Rica, Central America. I found this amazing volcano located in the Central Highlands. The Irazú Volcano is the tallest volcano in the country, reaching a height of over 11,000 feet and has several active craters. The smallest crater, called Diego de la Haya, drops 300 ft beneath the surface. Its mineral-rich lake can transform in color, between emerald-green and crimson-red. Did you know the water in the lake has a very high level of acid, causing it to change color and gurgle? I wouldn't want to take a swim in the lake, but it sure was interesting to learn about Irazu Volcano! I can't wait for my next adventure!
Sincerely,
S. Frachetti
